The Only List of Vegan Restaurants in Kelowna, BC You need
These are 12 of Kelowna’s best vegan restaurants that bring this carnivore back time and time again!
It’s definitely no secret that I am not a vegan but I don’t have any problem trying new things, even if they are vegan! Kelowna has many new restaurants establishing themselves in the community each year, many of which offer plant-based menus or options. In fact, most restaurants offer vegetarian and vegan options as more and more people turn away from meat. But these are my top 12 of Kelowna’s best vegan and plant based foodie stops in the city that won’t let you down for taste and variety!
As always, I have selected locations that aren’t popular commercial chains but locally owned and operated small businesses.
1. Frankie We Salute You!

One of Kelowna’s most stylish and hip foodie hangouts is Frankie We Salute You!. The husband and wife team, Brian and Christina Skinner, behind this beloved plant based restaurant hails from Vancouver and previously co-owned Acorn. Looking for the je ne sais quoi of the Okanagan lifestyle and affordable restaurant venues they chose Kelowna to open FWSY! and how lucky we are.
The chickpea fries and delicious Frankie burger always calls me back but they have an ever changing menu that includes vegan sushi, gorgeous plant-based desserts and cauliflower wing Wednesday that will convince any carnivore to consider eating their greens first. I loved the bao buns with fried and crispy eggplant (above you’ll see me marvelling at how crispy it is!).

2. Buffalo Rouge Brewing
Tucked into the city’s growing craft beer scene, Buffalo Rouge stands out not just for its inventive brews but for a food menu that genuinely celebrates plant‑forward eating. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply veg‑curious, this is a brewery that refuses to treat you like an afterthought. What makes Buffalo Rouge special is the intention behind it all. This isn’t a token veggie option tucked in the corner of the menu—it’s a full embrace of inclusive dining. Add in the relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff, and a lineup of beers that beg for a second sip, and you’ve got a Kelowna gem worth returning to again and again.
3. Naked Cafe
Did you know Naked Cafe is home to Canada’s best vegan poutine? 100% plant based vegan menu with plenty of gluten-free options at a charming little cafe in downtown Kelowna. From a kid’s menu to cocktails, this is my favourite place to grab a bite when she is looking for healthy, comforting food – FYI I’m not vegan but love vegan dishes done right!
4. Pick Thai

Pick Thai is perhaps Kelowna’s best Thai restaurant and it is conveniently located on Bernard Ave in downtown Kelowna. It is perfect during the cooler months for their personal sizes of hot pots or enjoy a group hot pot with all you can eat options for only $35! Tofu and vegan options are available! They also have a delicious and affordable cocktail menu. Don’t sleep on this one.
5. Zabb Thai Restaurant
One of my favourites in the Pandosy area for both vegan and non-vegan options is Zabb Thai Restaurant. The pad thai is the best in the city and many dishes can be made into vegan options with tofu. This is another one for your carnivorous and vegan friends to gather together in foodie harmony.
Heading to Lake Country?
Added bonus: Lake Country has The Salty Caramel Kitchen for a 100% plant based menu featuring incredible sweet and savoury items from gorgeous cakes and cookies to breakfast and sandwiches.

6. Wildling Wine Bar
Located in the popular North End district, Wilding is one of my new go-to spots for date night, girls’ night or any night. The food menu is always changing so if you enjoy a dish it might not be on the menu later (RIP bikini sandwich). They have an impressive selection of plant-forward dishes as well as meat and fish so this spot will please anyone! The natural wine list has lyrical yet laser accurate descriptions. But if that’s not your thing then you can try their selection of local beer and classic cocktails.
7. Nature’s Table at Summerhill Winery

This is my neighbourhood winery and their new menu is a welcomed addition for when my husband and I wonder where we should go for date night. It is well suited for vegans in Kelowna with a vegan cheeseboard, vegan calamari (I mean fried local mushrooms is a crowd pleaser) and their Dan Dan Noodles shouldn’t be missed!
8. King’s Vegetarian Food
For anyone searching for the best vegan restaurants Kelowna has to offer, King’s Vegetarian proves that some of the city’s most memorable meals come from humble market stalls rather than brick‑and‑mortar dining rooms. Available at the Kelowna Farmers’ Market, King’s Vegetarian also offer some excellent vegan and vegetarian dishes on Wednesdays and Saturdays when the market is on. Their menu is a celebration of bold, comforting, Asian‑inspired flavours, crafted entirely without meat or dairy. From crispy spring rolls to saucy noodle bowls and fragrant curries, every dish is vibrant, satisfying, and generously portioned, perfect fuel for a morning of market wandering. What sets King’s apart is the balance of freshness and depth: vegetables cooked with intention, sauces layered with spice and sweetness, and textures that make even non‑vegetarians take notice.
9. Just Peachy
Just Peachy is downtown Kelowna’s bright little oasis for anyone craving something fresh, colourful, and nourishing. Specializing exclusively in smoothies and smoothie bowls, this cheerful spot has mastered the art of turning simple ingredients into vibrant, feel‑good fuel. Nearly every smoothie and bowl can be made fully plant‑based, with dairy‑free bases, vegan granola, and thoughtful toppings that keep things both satisfying and energizing. Whether you’re looking for a protein‑packed post‑hike blend, a refreshing tropical bowl, or something antioxidant‑rich to kickstart your morning, their lineup is designed to be inclusive without sacrificing flavour.

10. Humo
Humo has a special location just steps from the downtown marina, it specializes in Japanese flavours with west coast inspired plates. It’s often praised for its seafood and meat dishes, Humo has quietly become a favourite for vegetarian diners thanks to a menu that treats vegetables with real intention. This is one of those rare places where plant‑forward plates feel just as exciting as anything coming off the grill.

11. Sprout
Sprout is one of downtown Kelowna’s most beloved cafés for work or those looking to catch up. Breakfast, pastries (their incredible creme brûlée donut), and their iconic sourdough command a line out the door but it moves fast! Spaced over 2 stories of cafe seating, I recommend grabbing a spot where you can watch them make their famous sourdough from above. Vegetarian diners will find plenty to love, from vibrant bowls to comforting soups made with local, thoughtfully sourced ingredients. Vegan guests aren’t left out either, with plant‑based options and adaptable dishes that make ordering easy.

12. Micro Bar & Bites
It’s a small tapas-style menu, just as small as the interior of this beloved local hangout. If you’re lucky enough to grab a spot at the micro bar, then you’ll be in good hands with delicious and creative cocktails as well as an ever-changing menu. Limited as it may be there are vegetarian and vegan options for those who want to nibble as they enjoy a libation. Get here around 4:30 to grab a spot, or else you’ll probably be waiting a little while.
