This one is for all you fishing lovers. Whether you are passionate about fishing or like to take the occasional day trip with the family, this guide will take you through all you need to know in order to ensure that your next fishing trip is the best one so far. Are you bored of sitting around waiting for a big catch? Feel like you aren’t getting the most out of your adventure? Well, worry no more. With the right bits of equipment and knowledge of where to go, there is absolutely no reason as to why you shouldn’t enjoy every single second of your angling experience.
If you aren’t particularly keen on the fishing scene or struggle to understand why so many people spend so much time practising this hobby, then I’ll enlighten you on it’s wonders. Fishing gives you the perfect opportunity to sit back and relax, but also feel a sense of adventure and suspense at the same time. There is nothing quite like it. Fishing gives you an excuse to travel the world, chasing after the best lakes and discovering a huge array of weird and wonderful fish.
Take a look at this really helpful list of items which has been put together; it’ll be sure to make your fishing days (and nights) a resounding success!
Baiting Needle and Boilie Drill
To put it smoothly, the baiting needle comes in very handy to get lugworms on a hook. In regards to the boilie drill, it may have a funny name, but it is very useful for when buoyancy is desirable. A boilie drill can be used to make an insertion of foam!
Catapult
This is a fun one… just keep it away from the kids! Finding a catapult with a robust design is key. You’ll find yourself being able to fire boilies and other freebies at ranges of 50+ yards all thanks to the catapults pouch.
Head Torch
Are you a fan of night fishing? If you answered yes, then you’ll be needing a light source if you want any hope of actually seeing what you catch. A discrete lamp fixed to your head may be a questionable fashion statement, but certainly a worthwhile one. Night fishing expeditions will be far more enjoyable when you don’t have to worry about balancing lights in risky positions or trying to juggle everything at once!
Reels and Rods
A pretty obvious one, but your reel and rod are the most important pieces of equipment to take on the fishing trip. You’ll be sure to find the perfect range of fishing reels by Total Fishing Tackle. If you use a spod when carp fishing, you will need a rod that is designed to cast a heavier weight over a fair distance. You are better off investing in a rod specifically designed for the purpose you want.

Just started my session of fishing this year and in my last trip cough a giant 20kg gunch catfish in a river side. Was finding some cannel catfish but was surprised to hook the beast.
the only activity that makes me feel like I am living my life with joy. Fishing never makes me boar and whenever I get some time I go for fishing with my backpack. And if I get a chance to bring a kayak that become more adventurous for me. I have recently added a trolling motor also in my kayak so that I can go further for fishing.

A bite alarm sounds pretty neat, especially if you’re away from your rods, it helps you rush to them to reel your catch
nice article! thanks for sharing
My favorite part of the article is where you mentioned that fishing provides an opportunity for people to just sit back and relax while they’re on an adventure. My father lives by himself and there are times when I just want to spend time with him while I have free time on a weekend. Maybe I should look for fishing packages offered in Manitoba and see if we can try them together.

Now the best time to go bass fishing is literally right before a storm, not during, not after, but right before. The weight of the air and water, something about the changing of weight gets the fish excited and super active.
